EFT supports “New Technologies in Education 2015”

In line with its dedication to education as a way to improve the quality of life of the local community and society at large, EFT sponsored the second annual conference about new technologies in education, held in Belgrade on 27 and 28 February 2015.

The Conference, organized by the British Council, gathered more than 50 speakers from Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovenia, Poland, Great Britain, and more than 40 companies, publishing houses and educational institutions from Serbia, the region and the UK, who presented their latest experiences and solutions for education in the digital era.

The focus was on the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in education. The event was intended for teaching and non-teaching staff in schools and universities in Serbia and the region, as well as other professionals involved in the modernisation of the educational process and better use of the potentials new technologies offer.

The topics included managing MOOC classroom, future classroom scenarios, games for developing social competencies, civic education, math and physics, the use of new technologies for intercultural education, helping teachers to understand and master the use of ICT, e-learning portfolios in university teaching, the use of ICT in the work with children with autism, smartphones – an advantage in language learning, among others, and were presented in Serbian and English.

The event was organised in partnership with the British Embassy in Belgrade, the Social Inclusion and Poverty Reduction Unit (Serbian Government), the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development, the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications, the Serbian Chamber of Commerce and other partners.
