EFT Romania in new energy deals with Stirom and Lukoil

EFT Romania S.r.l, the Romanian subsidiary of the EFT Group has concluded contracts to supply energy to the Stirom glassware producer and the petroleum company Lukoil in Romania. 

EFT Romania will supply the Stirom fascility in Bucharest and the Lukoil refinery in Ploesti from 1st July. Stirom’s annual consumption is 45GWh, while the Lukoil refinery in Ploesti consumes 200 GWh annually. The move marks further expansion of the EFT Group on the local eligible customer market, following the company’s recent successful bid to supply Holcim’s cement factories in Romania.

“We are delighted with this result and the fact that months of preparation and market research is now yielding results. EFT is able to offer competitive pricing and innovative solutions to our clients. We see the expansion on the internal market as our key development area in the coming period. This result increases EFT Romania’s internal market portfolio to 450 GWh and we look forward to strong expansion in the coming months”, said Aurelia Mocanu, director of the Energy Supply Department of EFT Romania.

Stirom is the leading glassware and glass packaging producer in Romania, while the Lukoil refinery in Ploesti covers 25% of the Romanian petroleum market.

EFT is the leading energy supplier in central and south East Europe. In 2009 the Group delivered 17TWh of energy in 19 countries and achieved a turnover of over 1 billion Euros.
