Desanka Maksimovic primary school - Stanari, Bosnia and Herzegovina
As part of our corporate responsibility program, EFT has allocated substantial funds for development of the local school in Stanari, where EFT took control of the local coal mine. To date, EFT has developed a brand new IT centre at the local school, including new computers, scanners, printers, software. In addition, the school and EFT have developed a comprehensive incentive scheme, by which the school's leading students and teachers are rewarded.
The school and EFT also collaborated well on a number of ecology projects, where students were amply rewarded with presents and excursions. EFT is developing a whole new educational program with the 'Desanka Maksimovic' primary school, which will focus on developing IT and English language skills among students.
MAGT 2006 - Belgrade 1-4 September 2006
EFT was proud to be the main sponsor of the international mathematical conference 'Topics in mathematical analysis and graph theory -MAGT 2006'. The event is a satellite of the
International Congress of Mathematicians (www.icm2006.org), gathering of world's leading mathematicians. Elektrijada 2006 - lake Ohrid 14-19th May 2006
EFT was the general sponsor of 'Elektrijada 2006', the annual gathering of electrical engineering students from western, central and south-east Europe. The event attracted over 2000 students who over the four days of the gathering competed in various subjects, including mathematics, physics, electronics, circuit theory, control systems, telecommunications, informatics, power system analysis and many others...

CZKD Theatre - Belgrade
In June 2004, EFT were the sole sponsors of a play directed by Jovan Cirilov at the CZKD theatre in Belgrade.
Montenegro Art Exhibition in Skopje
EFT were the proud sponsors of an art exhibition of four Montenegrin artists at the Gallery "Oliver" in Skopje, Macedonia. The event attracted much positive public attention and it bought the two countries a little closer.
Sports
European Karate Championship from 6 to 10 May 2004 Skopje The International Karate Association (IKA) hosted the European Karate Championship from 6 to 10 May 2004 at the Sport Hall Rasadnik Imperial - Skopje, Macedonia, and EFT was happy to be one of the sponsors of the occasion. Featuring participants from all over Europe the Competition involved several karate seminars, tournament eliminations and the kata and kumite finals on 9 May.
Hercegovac Basketball Club (2003)
EFT was one of the main sponsors of the Basketball Club 'Hercegovac' in 2003, based in Bileca, Republic of Srpska. Given the large number of workers currently working for EFT directly and indirectly in Bosnia, EFT wanted to support the local community in one its most popular activities. The club is one of a kind in the small town of Bileca and attracts over 2,000 supporters for each game. It has different youth programmes introducing local youngsters to basketball and is a positive force for social integration and development.
FINA Cup (August 2002)
EFT was one of the donors to the 12th Men's Waterpolo World Cup held in Belgrade. The event lasted for three days and was a huge success, drawing competitors and support from across the whole of Eastern and Central Europe.
Health Care
Purchase of equipment for the Institute of Neurosurgery - Belgrade In December 2004, EFT helped to fund the purchase of much needed surgical equipment for the Belgrade Institute of Neurosurgery. The Institute performs over 3,000 spinal and cranial operations per year, provides ongoing health care for an additional 2,500 patients, and also serves as a research center. It is the biggest facility of its kind in the Balkans, and one of the largest in the SEE region.
Donation to the Centre for Cerebral Paralysis - Belgrade
During the summer 2003 Balkan heatwave, with temperatures in Belgrade touching 40º Celsius, EFT donated three air-conditioning units to the Intensive Care Unit at the Centre for Cerebral Paralysis, greatly relieving the suffering of the patients.
Charity Concert for the "Dr Dragisa Misovic" Children's Hospital in Belgrade
In 2003, EFT made a donation to the Serbian Society in London towards the organisation of a charity concert, with the proceeds used to help buy medicines and equipment for the "Dr Dragisa Misovic" Children's Hospital in Belgrade.
