Dr Svetislav Bulatovic leads the Group's trading operation and oversees the implementation of EFT's strategy on spot and long-term markets.
Dr. Bulatovic was born in 1955. He studied Power Engineering at the University of Belgrade, from where he graduated in 1978. Dr. Bulatovic continued his academic pursuits and in 1986 gained an MSc title in statistics from Belgrade University on the subject of "Load forecasting methods for medium and long term". In 1995 he received his doctorate on the subject of "Reliability evaluation of bulk power-systems with Monte Carlo simulation". He is widely known as one of the leading authorities on the subject of energy trading in the region.
During a distinguished career in the energy sector, Dr. Bulatovic helped place the foundations of an energy market in South-East Europe. Sveta, as he is known to friends, worked for the Yugoslav Power Industry Union (JUGEL), where he progressed from the ranks of a dispatcher, leading analyst and trader to the position of the Director of the Dispatch Centre.
From JUGEL, Dr. Bulatovic moved on to lead the Electricity Coordinating Centre (EKC), which oversaw the functioning of power-utilities in south-east Europe. It was during this period that the EKC took the lead role in promoting deregulation and new trends in the regions' energy sector and educating a new generation of energy professionals to adapt to the market rules of the future.
Progression to EFT was logical for Dr. Bulatovic and he co-founded the company with Vuk Hamovic, James Nye and other associates in 2000.
Dr Bulatovic lives and works in Belgrade.
